My name is Ev Ponder, and I’m a lighting designer, audio engineer, and bassoonist. I design lighting for concerts, recitals, and theatrical productions. I also mix audio for student recitals and concerts. I work closely with other engineers, production managers, and event staff. In the summer of 2024, I interned at Interlochen Center for the Arts as a Production Sound, Lighting, and Video Technician.
Outside of lighting and audio, I play bassoon in concert bands and orchestras. My performing career began in 2014 and I’ve been making reeds since 2022.
I was also involved in the Iota Epsilon chapter of Tau Beta Sigma at Capital University as the Office of Public Relations/Historian.
In my personal life, I dabble in sound design for film and video games. I also crochet and read to fill my time.
I have a passion for design, whether it be lighting or audio. Evolving performances into experiences is what I strive to do.
